Another month in our “The Way I View…” blog circle I’m participating in with other photographer’s from Clickinmoms is here and our theme was…wait for it…Halloween! Total shocker huh? 🙂 Well this month I’ve been very busy with Fall clients (don’t worry you’ll see them here on the blog soon enough!) so at home I worked hard to just be “mommy” and focus on being in the moment more than capturing the moments with the perfect lighting, composition, camera settings, etc.
With this goal in mind, I’m proud to admit these images are much more “through my Mommy goggles” rather than Mindy Newton Photography images and that is a-okay with me. This year our Halloween memories were plenty so I will just share some of our pumpkin carving, being able to work in my kiddos preschool and first grade classes including backing pumpkin decorated cookies and (finally!) following through on a Pinterest project with these cool glow-wand cards for the kids to hand out to their classmates. We also enjoyed our old church’s annual “Treat Street” harvest festival and trick-or-treating with the cousins.
